A group of local Malaysians in Denmark gathered together to celebrate the Muhibbah Party which is a combined celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Deepavali, Christmas, New Year, and Chinese New Year organised by the Malaysian Danish Association on the 24th January 2004. Once again, the party committee did a great job (ie. Linda, Susan, Anna and Elena). Not only was it attended by Malaysians, but there were many other nationalities as well.
Among the activities that we had were a sumptious dinner with a wide variety of Malay, Chinese and Indian food spread out on the buffet table, followed by coffee, tea and dessert, and dances by guests of the evening such as the elegant malay dance "Joget", indian dance bhangra, cha cha, twist, rock and roll and disco. There were also an Indian "Bhangra" dance performance, a demonstration of salsa dance and even a "daredevil stunt" by one of the young guests! Bravo! Presentation of prizes to winners of the lucky draw was the highlight when everyone paid attention and holding on to our tickets as we hear the numbers being called out one by one. Congratulations to all winners!
Thank you to all organisers, sponsors, performers, helpers and guests for making the Muhibbah Party achieved its meaning...MUHIBBAH! Syabas!
